Feedback comments
- The course showed that you do not have to be a ‘super head’ or a super person. There are many different styles of leadership and no one ‘right’ answer
- I have ways to think through the process of applying for headship
- Understanding the role of headship has been very useful
- I really appreciated the gentle step-by-step guide through the day highlighting the ’real’ issues of headship, and addressing them
- Emphasis on being yourself. It has taken away the fear. Knowledge that you’re not alone and can make the role your own
- You don’t have to do everything; build a good team
- Encouraged me to concentrate on my strengths and to define my goals as well as outline my plan of action
- I feel more positive about the role and am going to set myself some goals
- Feel much more confident. Made me address barriers as to why I’m not fully confident and committed, now need to address these
- Improved my confidence and understanding of the journey to headship
- Opportunity to reflect on obstacles that can be overcome instead of being used as an excuse!
"Thank you. Very rarely do training courses address needs in such a personal and supportive way! I need to hold on to the feeling I have towards headship at 3.45pm today."
